Preparing to Sell

An Inspection Before You Sell

There are many sellers who don’t consider an inspection prior to selling property. However, our Seller’s Inspection is part of a pro-active plan to identify improvements that otherwise could cause negotiations to take an unexpected and/or undesirable turn. This stream-lined inspection takes into account the potential buyer of the home and focuses on the repairs and renovations the buyer is likely to identify as areas that need improvement or replacement.

The Buyer’s Strategy

As a result of the inspection, we will discuss the findings as well as document them in detail. This information enables a strategic discussion with your real estate agent on the consideration of repairs or improvements to your home as noted in the report.

Why District Home Pro?

It’s often advisable to have a third-party inspect a home – someone who is not involved in the sale of the property. As an impartial participant, District Home Pro can identify areas needing attention without undue pressure from either the agent or the homeowner. With the information resulting from the inspection, a better understanding of the value of the home is achieved.

What’s Covered In An Inspection Prior To Close?

As with all of our inspections and assessments, we examine these parts of your home:

  • Indications of System Malfunctions and Structural Problems
  • Upgrades to the Plumbing, Electrical, and HVAC System
  • Equipment and Appliances’ Respective Life Cycles
  • Meaningful Interior and Exterior Surface Flaws
  • Condition of the Attic, Insulation, & Ventilation
  • State of the Roof and Property Drainage
